| Thank you for this extraordinary getaway! What a great
place to leave our fast-paced lives behind and just enjoy
nature. This was an excellent choice for our 1 yr. Anniversary
and hopefully we will have many more to come! We will
definitely visit again to enjoy the front porch view! |

Carl and Terri,
Words cannot express properly the gratitude we have for
your foresight, dedication and care (I should say loving
care) that has created the "Big Log Cabin in the
Clouds"! What a gem - and located perfectly on the
top of a hill with glorious views! The privacy and complete
withdrawal from the noise & clutter we experience
in our everyday lives.
Then - to top it off - what more idyllic location to spend
the first 3 days & nights of our married life. Marilyn
and I feel truly blessed! |

Carl and Terri,
Delightful. Inspiring. Wonderful. We woke up this morning
feeling sad that we had to leave - but only after spending
the last few days relaxing, breathing, and soaking in
the amazing ambiance and spectacular views. We can honestly
say this is one of the best places we've ever been. We
can tell how much love and patience went into the cabin
and its surroundings. Who knew such a gem existed in the
middle of Indiana! We will definitely be back -
we're already looking at our calendar to find a suitable
weekend. Thank you for helping us find a secluded, lovely
spot where we could just be us and have the chance to
shut out the world for a few days. |

| Our 10 year wedding anniversary. No other place would
have been any better. Nature's beauty at its best! Thank
you so much for allowing us to be a small part of this
wonderful place. We enjoyed the peace & quiet ever
so much. The "hummingbird wars" were quite an
unexpected treat. This place is great - highly recommended. |
| Thanks Again,

| Last year we stayed in the little cabin and loved our
stay. This year for our 27th anniversary we chose the
Big Cabin in the Clouds. Being an historical romance fiction
editor I find pure inspiration in the setting as well
as the history of the cabin. I love the decor and the
way you updated it (from the original). We enjoyed the
deer sightings and many birds and got a big chuckle out
of the hummingbird "wars" from the six hummingbirds
fighting over that feeder! (You may want to add another
feeder before there are casualties!) Loved the bobwhite
quail. So relaxing - and romantic. Love the area, we enjoyed
the food/dining and then returned here for lovely setting
of the sun. |

| What an absolutely fantastic cabin this is. Never in
my wildest dreams would I have thought it would have been
this nice & peaceful. We had a marvelous time for
our first annual Girlfriends getaway. We hope to make
this a semi-annual or annual event. |
| Thanks so much,

| A Big Log Cabin in the Clouds. It began to grow in 1710,
they harvested the trees about 1863, during the Civil
War! It may have been a travelers inn, Abraham Lincoln
may have stayed in it. It is obvious Carl & Therese
have vision, the perfect spot to set the cabin, the restoration,
the decoration, the details, the ingenuity, the patience,
the workmanship. These give us - the travelers passing
through, clear vision, fresh perspective, & renewed
spirit. Like the song says, "Slow down, don't move
too fast, make the morning (noon-evening) last..."
A Big Log Cabin in the Clouds gives us the opportunity
to restore hope, a retreat to gather faith, a place to
remember the past, present, and future. It gives us a
time to snuggle, to talk, to laugh, to enjoy each others
company - in quiet seclusion, in privacy, in sanctuary.
We did not happen here by chance. |

| Perhaps the greatest compliment we can offer is this!
Up here, on the porch with the rain tapping on the tin
roof, the world is so far away. This is by far the most
civilized bit of "out in the country" we've
ever enjoyed. "Rustic luxury" seems like an
oxymoron, but here it makes sense. You've carved out a
wonderful place in the clouds, and the love that went
into it is obvious, from the top to bottom. Thanks for
giving us a break from the world. |

Mr. & Mrs. Pryor,
Thank you for the getaway we so much needed. Such a historical
place we fell in love with. No need to leave the country
as long as their are places like this to visit. My wife
and I have had a wonderful time, felt good to get to know
one another again. |
